Art en Blanc 2017

Fashioned after the wildly successful Le Dîner en Blanc International®, the Temple Terrace Arts Council personally invites you to an elegant evening under the stars at the breathtakingly beautiful, historic Woodmont Park.
artenblanc
Art en Blanc, the 5th annual evolution of the French picnic invented by Francois Pasquier in 1988, is a potpourri of all things artistic and enchanting. Guests are required to adorn themselves in tones of white from brilliant to khaki, in casual or costume style, from bonnet to slipper. Recognition for spectacular attire and table art encourage attendees to unveil their creative genius and collaborate with friends to deliver an unforgettable night of visual delights.

True to the original En Blanc notion, guests dine on picnic fare of their own creation with their personal collection of dinnerware, flatware, and vessels. The Arts Council provides chairs, tables, linens (white, of course), and entertainment. Guests who do not wish to spend their precious time in the kitchen may choose from inspired menu items with a wink and a nod to our French cousins in Louisiana. To order: Temple Terrace Golf & Country Club, 813-988-1791.

Entertainment for the evening includes dancing in the moonlight, an en plein air painting auction, a wine sale, sophisticated paparazzi, and a few secret surprises.

Rain or shine.

FAQs

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Parking is available on property and a drop-off zone will allow you to bring your decorations and dinner accutrements a little closer to your table before moving your car to the parking lot.

What can I bring into the event?

Your creativity will be on display with your decorations (all in white of course). The Arts Council will provide tables, chairs and tablecloths for your convenience. Your culinary talents will not be limited to any color palette! Diners may eat from paper or china, plastic or silver, cardboard or crystal, paper or linen – it’s all up to you and your table.

The rule of thumb is this – if you think you might need it – bring it! Bottle openers, ice, wine, bourbon or beer!

How can I contact the organizer with any questions

Call 813-988-ARTS for a real Arts Council person (or at least leave a voice mail and a real person will call back)

Special Note

This is a rain or shine event. Many details can be arranged by the Temple Terrace Arts Council but the weather still remains in the hands of Mother Nature. Make sure that your email and phone number are known to the Council as messages updating the event status will go out if any adjustments due to weather need to be made. You might arrange to party in one of your own homes if the event is rained out – why not – you’ve already prepared the food and decided on your decorations! No refunds can be made due to weather – hard costs must be paid but remember this is all for charity!
